About the publisher

The catalogue's owner

lottologiy is published by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, a federally recognised tribal nation whose offices stand at 11177 East Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek MI 49014, US. A small editorial desk compiles the catalogue on the Nation's behalf.

Our interest in No. 01

The Nation owns and operates FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek. FireKeepers heads the catalogue for exactly that reason, and the entry carries a label saying so. Each night booked at FireKeepers earns money for the very owner of lottologiy, on top of whatever referral payment might also arise. The nine other hotels belong to other owners; our only possible financial link with them is a referral code in an outbound address.

Where lottologiy's money comes from

Some outbound addresses carry a referral code. When a reader follows one and reserves a room, the hotel or an intermediary network can pass lottologiy a commission. Readers are charged nothing extra for this. No hotel can buy a place in the catalogue.

Selection, in practice

Our test is simple: would a guest who never set foot in the casino still leave content? That means comfortable rooms, a pool or a spa, restaurants worth an evening, and countryside or a city worth exploring. Each fact is taken from the hotel's official pages and then compared with independent public listings. Where the two disagreed, the detail was dropped or turned into a question for you to put to the hotel.

The people compiling these entries have spent years planning resort stays across the country, and they write the practical notes they would want in hand before paying a deposit.

When we get something wrong

Spotted an error or a closed restaurant? Email contact@lottologiy.com, quote the entry number and, if possible, link a source. Every report is read by a person, and a corrected entry gets a fresh revision date.
